East Gate Subdivision development started!

According to the Loudoun Easterner, the new community "East Gate" in south Dulles broke ground on July 10th.

The county approved development of the site back in February 2006. The communities development is to be carried out by Atapco Properties, Inc. and  EQUINOX Investments, LLC.

The multi million dollar development will entail a $6 million improvement to Route 50 and will have a mixture of around 600 residential property, a top flight hotel, 400,000 square feet of office space and 160,000 square feet of retailing which will include an anchor store.

The development has been heralded by many as a great opportunity for the area as the investment in the road network will make future development more viable as well as provide a nice environment to live and work in for local residents. The development will hopefully aid the transformation of the district.
