School District Growth an Indicator of the level of expansion the county is seeing

As previously blogged about, Loudoun County is growing at an exponential rate. With a great quality of life, a good local economy as well as great schools it is no wonder than many people are flocking to the area.

The change in the number of pupils enrolling in the school districts is a clear indicator of this level of growth. Loudoun is the fastest growing county in American and the trend is showing no sign of slowing.

The Loudoun County Public School System is at 53,000 children enrolled and is growing by 3,000 students each year and has opened 25 new schools in the previous seven years. According the Loudound County Public Schools Spokesman Wayde Byard, 

“We grow more in a year than the actual size of 61 school divisions, so it’s like putting a little school division on top each year.”

This is a hugh amount of growth and shows one of the many reasons people are flocking to the area.
