Proposed Construction of Schools near Lovettsville

Options being explored by county school leaders.

Construction of a new high school could be possible near Lovettsille on the Miller site if the political force is there. Reports Leesburg Today.

After a community meeting attended by 200 people Loudoun County Public School Administrators told Lovettsville officials what it would take to develop the site and bring a third high school to the area on the 156 acre section of the Miller site. - One arguement was that despite not having a contract on the property only 84 acres are suitable for a school.

Despite not having the funds for a third high school officials have a contract on a Grubb property where on a 102 acre site a middle school is planned which the planned high school would compliment if built.

The public meeting discussed peoples hesitations on building the new schools as well as the ideas which they thought would work - on top of who would share the cost. One of the main obstacles that has been come across by community leaders if finding suitable school sites and once found many wish that the land be used for other community facilities such as parks.
