Ashburn ‘Classics’ Community Group Celebrates Birthday
Active ‘Senior’ Group turns 4 years old.
With the population of Loudoun growing as a whole it means that towns are of course seeing a boom in population, Asburn is one of those towns. However, with an increasing number of younger families moving to the town one group of friends felt that focus was detracted from the number of seniors living in the community.
So Peggy Chapman, Pamela Halston & Carol Thompson decided to form their own group called the Ashburn "Classics" - after forming four years ago, the group strives to not only provide social gatherings for its members but also provide a forum for speakers to come and discuss local issues.
From humble beginnings the group now numbers around 200 members and is one of the largest in the town. - It shows what a great community spirit there is in local towns in Loudoun County.
As reported by the Loudoun Easterner.
