Loudoun Halloween Parade In Leesburg A Success

Local event a great success for young and old!

With Halloween 2007 now a fading memory it is interesting to note that Halloween as a celebration nationwide has become a great festive occasion for people and a community as a whole.

Leesburg was no different. The annual parade from Ida Lee Park in downtown southward through King Street grew a great number of crowds young and old as well as politicians who are preparing for an election in a few days time.

Mayor Kristen Umstattd served as grand marshal of the parade and the State Senator and Governor got involved along with the Loudoun Board of Supervisors.

The parade consisted of decorated floats as well as costumed individuals who along with six high school bands made up the bulk of the parade. The parade’s 100 odd participants donated food items to Loudoun Interfaith Relief.

This event alone shows the great community spirit that the communities that make up Loudoun County have. If you are considering a relocation destination then you should consider towns such as Sterling, Leesburg and other places in the area - after all the areas is one of the fastest growing in the nation due to its high quality of life as well as great local economy.
