Leesburg Development: Approval Given to Festival Lakes Project

New Residential Development Given Thumbs Up!

Loudoun County is growing at a fantastic rate!

The planned community on the JR Festival Lakes property has been given the go ahead by the Leesburg Planning Commission.

The commission agreed to rezone the property for the development of 275 residential dwellings on the site. The previous use was as a community recreation area, however in recent years the tract of land has been surrounded by properties and therefore development of the site was the obvious next step.

The 105 acre swathe of land is off of Fort Evans Road and the developer of the community plans to help widen the road to ease congestion along with River Creek Parkway by contributing $6 million to the area.
