Leesburg, Virginia: Market Study Shows Demand for Later Shopping Hours

Downtown Leesburg shown as needing later shop opening hours to satisfy shoppers

Several months in the making the Downtown Leesburg Market Study has shown that there is significant demand for later opening hours in the downtown area.

The survey, which was started in June was conducted by on the street researchers in various locations in the city center. Along with the findings a profile was constructed of a Leesburg Downtown shopper who was highly likely to be middle aged and travelled from Ashburn and Lovettsville as well as Leesburg itself.

Alongside later opening hours they found that shoppers want more reasonable priced restaurants, more convenience stores and more reasonable priced clothing stores.

The downtown area encompasses the historic district where most of the shops surveyed are located. This area is known for its charm and beauty which many residents enjoy when shopping.

The town is ideally positioned at the heart of the county politically as well as geographically coupled with its proximity to the nations capital.
